Grinding sound from front when driving in 2012 Caravan

Tonight I heard a weird noise while driving, turned off the radio and heard this strange grinding sound. It's most noticeable at low speed, when accelerating from a stop. At higher speeds it mostly sounds like a squeal, but the grinding might be covered up by road/wind noise. I thought it was something dragging on the road at first but there is nothing under the van.
It does not make the sound in reverse, nor does it do it while braking. Brakes feel smooth.

I think it's the front passenger wheel area, I'll take the wheel off tomorrow (way too freaking cold tonight) and take a look. But anyone have any thoughts? you can hear the sounds fairly clearly from about 15 seconds on in the video.

Maybe the carrier bearing for the CV shaft?

That's an odd one. Has to be somewhere on the axle or wheels.

Check your brake dust shields. Maybe one got knocked in by a rock. That combined with a slightly warped rotor could make a noise similar to that.

While you have the wheels up, twist them around to check for play in the wheel bearings. And take a look at you brake pads and rotors. A lip on a rotor could be scrubbing the side or backing plate of the pad.

Looks like I got some wood on the ball this time.

If there's a seal or gasket where the intermediate shaft meets the trans, I'd recommend replacing that while you're in there. With other vehicles I've replaced shafts on, I'm 50/50 on them leaking afterwards.

Got it replaced today, went ok. I did also buy the new seal, but didn't end up installing it. I was to nervous I'd damage something trying to pry it out.

The 3 bolts holding the intermediate shaft in are a huge pain to get at while laying under the van. Otherwise it was fairly straight forward.

I'll try to do a write-up later. I did take some video as I worked, never done that before so not sure it's enough to make a how to video.
