Anybody have the weight of the rear liftgate? I need to do some rust repairs and paint it. (It would be easier to remove the entire liftgate from the van) I have a 350lbs adjustable painting rack and 400lbs hoist to use to remove it. Thanks

Some years ago, I replaced the rear liftgate om my 2002. I got one in perfect condition, in the same colour, at a pick and pull yard. It was heavy, but my two sons were able to carry it, so under 200lbs, for sure.
I also got one from the junkyard. It was for my 3rd gen T&C Limited, and came off of a Caravan from Louisiana. Had to lift it 4 times! About 5 oogha dooghas and a pulled groin - . Not really, but handling it by myself to fit diagonally in the back of my van, then unloading it, then lifting it and installing it, was quite the workout. I'm not a muscular guy either - just determined.
