Windshield had frost. I turned on the fan, high heat setting, selected defrost vents. Frost melted only on the driver side. No warm air coming out of the passenger side defrost vent. How should I tackle this? Thank you.

First thing, top off your coolant. Make sure you open the bleeder screw on the thermostat until coolant starts coming out, then close it. Let it warm up, then take it for a short 1-2 mile drive. Let it cool down and repeat. Then search for the leak that you must have.

If coolant is full, you have an issue with your passenger side blend door or its actuator.

While checking the blend door actuator I found that the passenger side has a separate temperature control. That's why the windshield was not defrosted on the passenger side. Everything is working fine. Thank you.

By the way, when a new actuator is installed, would I need to reset HVAC using a scanner? Does AlphaOBD have that function?

It should automatically calibrate. AlfaOBD can read and clear the codes and perform diagnostic tests for it.
