dealer/used are the only place to get the pan. aftermarket does not make one that I can find.

 

Don't mean to sound heartless, but you need to get used to hitting animals that get into your way. Otherwise, you'll be running over trees, soon.

A pan can be purchased at the dealer, or local tranny shop. The tranny is a 41TE/A604. Tell them your year/make/model/engine to get the right part.

 

Try ebay. There is one offered right now with no bids... looks in good condition.

 

I bet you can get one from the junk yard for $10. Just make sure before you go and pull it that you know what they want you to do with the fluid that will come gushing out when it is pulled.

All that is needed is a 10mm deep socket or extension.

 

Well, I'm gonna have to get her to the shop now, anybody have any ideas for holding the fluid in for about 3 miles?

 

Clean the transmission case off real clean with a degreaser and use plenty of DUCT TAPE to seal it...then add enough fluid to get you there... it should get you the 3 miles if there aren't many traffic lights... The only other alternative I can think of is a tow truck...
