I have a 2015 town and country with 123k miles that has a clicking/knocking sound. Our mechanic thinks the knocking may be a main or rod bearing. Is that something worth fixing or is it better just to get a new engine?

also... the rocker rollers are known for ticking and are much more common then any rod bearing issues with these issues. Rod bearings are not a common issue. The lifters/rollers and the flex plate are much more common (and less expensive) causes of engine noise.
Did it run low (very low) on oil at some point? Rod knock is commonly a result of low oil, so if the answer is no, it makes bearing failure even less likely.
How long have you owned this van? How long have you had this "knocking sound"? Did it begin abruptly or slowly over time?
