I see, thank you. Probably just better off staying with the type I already have installed then.
No, you're really not. The plastic will eventually fail. You need the '14+ cooler block, cap, and filter to do the conversion. Also grab the 2 sensors because sometimes they stick.

Thank you for the response. I guess I really should do this then. So other than that this oil filter housing is a direct drop in. My van is super clean and well kept. I want to keep it in tip top condition. This year I will be doing some work to it.

Yep, just the next version of the assembly. It changed how the filter bypass worked. It went from the center tower for the relief valve to the cap.

AeroZ posted a few back that Dorman will be selling a 1-size-fits-all complete assembly (926-959) within the next few months. Initial retail is set at about $370. It's just going to be this version with all the parts you'd need for the '11-'13 conversion already on it. Think I heard someone mumbling about June 6 for the launch and next shipment of the bare units.

Had my housing done today. The mechanic wasn't very fond of the aluminum body. I'm not sure if I understood correctly but he said something that the aluminum body where the seals went wasn't machined or machined well enough to make a tight fit between the housing and the seals themselves so he added some sealant between the housing and seals.

Parts - 276€
Labor - 94€
Total - 370€/$420

I think Dorman is coming out with one (previously mentioned) that has the cooler already installed, like some of its Chinese competitors on Amazon have. I think those (Amazon) might fit. Sienile will know.

If so, you will be good to go, one way or the other.

Dorman fit and finish suffers somewhat, in my experience.

What kind of seals were they, cheap cork/paper gasket, silicone coated, or something crushy.

On the top side where the cooler block mounts or the bottom where the unit bolts to the engine?

I forgot to ask which ones. I guess the bottom ones but maybe the top or maybe both. To be honest I tought they we're going to be like "the aluminum housing is great" :p

Based on newly released video from Motor City Mechanic video clip, 2014 and Up oil filter housing fits to 2011-2013 model 3.6L, V6 Pentastar engine. See the clip"

Question:

Does that Dorman 926-876 Oil Filter Housing fit in 2011 - 2013 T&C with 2011 - 2013 T&C's oil cooler?

No. The '11-'13 cooler has 4 bolts and they are in different locations from the '14+'s 5 bolts. You will need the cooler block, cap, and filter from a '14+. Best to have spare sensors on hand in case you can't get your old ones off.

I know. If you watch it, you'll see that he tells you the same parts I said are different and need to be bought because the '11-'13 versions of the parts won't fit the '14+ adapter. So it's an " It fits* "

I can confirm that this is indeed true, I have installed 2014-up housing off Amazon into a 2011 Wrangler 3.6L with zero issues. Having compared these, the entire assembly fits with no issues, I would imagine the 11-13 would fit on the newer models but why would you do that.

I will be upgrading my own housing as soon as I can to a 2014-up, I am only doing it for simplicity to filter availability and improved valve.

Here is a 2011 Wrangler with a 2014-up oil cooler installed.

And here is the old cooler which had failed sensor and had slight seepage from the gaskets.

Speaking of differences, where does one get the orange seals that have the reputation of being better than the black seals used on the earlier versions of the coolers?
That's just the color of the OEM gasket: MAHLE GS33753
Nothing special about them

106 in/lbs for everything but the upper intake witch is 89 in/lbs. Sensors are extra tight at 177 in/lbs.

As soon as the new upgrade comes out for my 2013 Van I am gonna do it. Mine is still the factory one and no leaks but I wanna just get it done as you guys are doing. I am gonna do everything at one time. Water pump, tensioner, belt, thermostat, cooling system flush, oil and filter. As long as I'm that far into it I might as well do a whole new set of rockers too. I think this will be my next winter project.

I wouldn't bother with rockers unless you have the tick, and if you do, don't put it off. I'm still running my factory rockers in my front head. Only had the failure on the back one, which now has the latest (AH) revision rockers.
