I have seen many of the older gen vans with running boards. Since the gen5 van has even more ground clearance than the older gens have, I would think a step like this would be do able.

 

Mopar has running boards available for these vans.

I like the steps, but I wouldn't trust them on the rockers. That is too small of an area to be putting much weight on IMHO.
My mother has issues getting in and out of our van too. I worry that the Mopar boards are too narrow to be any good.

 

My grand parents have trouble with every vehicle.

My concern with these is you'd rip them off on a curb or in the winter or at least bang them up.

did you ever find out an answer or solution? I have a 2013 with same issue....One place told me its not possible but I think they did not do any research...

It's possible to have sidesteps/running boards on a 5th gen Caravan or T&C

 

I'm interested in running boards for my 2014 T&C. Can anyone tell me the distance from the ground to the top of the running board? My van has stock wheels and tires.
